My puppy ate a spider that was sprayed with bug spray. Is it toxic?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | neutered | 6 months and 13 days old | 11 lbs

My puppy ate a spider I coated in fly spray 5 days prior. my partner finally went to pick it up for me as i have serious issues with spiders and it’s gone. I tried to keep the pups away from it but the little one is very sneaky. I have attached a photo of the can

I doubt the spider had enough of the toxin on it for it to be toxic to your puppy. If he was going to show symptoms from this type of toxicity they usually start within one hour of ingestion. If he is showing no symptoms I would not be worried. There is nothing you can do at this point but wait to see if he gets ill. This article may help you more:
