My dog threw up seizure medication. Do I need to give another dose?

Pet's info: Dog | Yorkshire Terrier | Female | spayed | 6 lbs

My dog took her seizure medication and then threw up about 30 min later. Should I administer another dose. Zonisamide 25 mg Yorkie 6lbs

I would not unless you see the pill in the vomit. That medicine actually gets absorbed pretty rapidly in their system to work effectively. I would continue with her normal dose and routine in the morning.

    Hello, & thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I would not redose Macy if the vomiting was 45 minutes after receiving the zonisamide. Just give her the next dose at the next regularly scheduled time. Take care.
