Why does my dog have a white line or scar on his testicles, is it serious?

That could be completely normal and due to different pigmentation of the gums. A picture of it would definitively help understanding the underlying cause of it. This presentation could be due to a trauma or localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria or fungal). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics or antifungal meds (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection can eventually be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking. HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! I am not concerned about the white or pale skin color of his scrotum. I think that is a variation of normal. As for the bowing of his front legs, that is likely an angular limb deformity but to tell I would need to see him walk. It is usually from premature closure of one of the growth plates in the leg. If he walks normal it could be a variation of normal. If he isn't limping and can run well I wouldn't worry too much about the legs. Have a good day!

Everything in the picture appears normal. the dark spot appears to be normal pigment in the skin of he scrotum. The skin can get more or less pigmented as they age, so this may be why you are just now noticing this. As long as the dark areas are not raised, crusty, or causing any other problems with the skin, then they are not concerning. Considering he is otherwise normal, I would not be concerned about this. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The scrotal skin color isn’t influenced by the platelet number. Platelets are part of clotting. If Bruno’s platelets are low enough you could see bruising on the skin and scrotum. The scrotum can become more pigmented with time and just like the belly skin they can also become red when certain things contact the scrotum like grass. Have a good day.

Hello, Ralphs' skin patches are likely a variance of normal skin pigmentation that dogs may develop are they grow. I would only be concerned about these changes if they become raised or nodular, if they are painful, or if they have any discharge. Otherwise, you may continue to monitor the area intermittently for any of the changes described above. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Its hard to tell from the picture, but it could be that the skin there on the scrotum has developed pigment over time, which sometimes happens; he's very young yet if the pet description is accurate (its telling me that Walter is 6 months old), and it may be normal. However, the skin also looks a bit thickened which could indicate that there is some inflammation and infection present. Call your vet and make an appointment to have it looked at to be sure. I don't think it is urgent as long as Walter isn't licking/chewing at it and is acting normally, but I would get him in at your convenience in the next couple of weeks.
