In the picture is not great but that looks swollen. While sprains can swell, swelling is more common with broken bones. Both conditions are painful. I recommend to have Oreo see her veterinarian today who will likely need an x-ray to check for a broken bone. Just like with humans, some broken bones can heal with a cast but others need surgery. Yes, the circulation was compromised but the nerves could also have been damaged. My hope is that with time the nerves and vessels will return to normal.
