My dogs right front paw was grazed by a slow moving vehicle. The knuckle area is swollen. But there are no protruding bones. He still has an appetite and is otherwise ok. It was lightly bleeding so i applied neosporin and gauze. How will i know if this is fractured?

He may have fractured a bone in his paw. If he seems painful, have him examined at the nearest veterinary ER tonight. They can do x-rays and administer pain management.
If he is resting comfortably, you can take him to your veterinarian tomorrow morning for the same treatment. Restrict his activity for the rest of the night. No running, jumping or rough play.
