Which is why I generally don't recommend Lime sulfur dips as the first choice of treatment because owners don't always read the safety precautions on the bottle and abide by them, and sometimes accidents do happen. A safer treatment for mites is either oral Bravecto, Nexgard, or Ivermectin 3% (which in itself carries some risks as well that should be discussed with your veterinarian).

This would definitely not be enough to cause any major problems and likely won't cause any problems at all. It can irritate the eyes, but when done by a professional this risk is usually avoided rather well. If it did happen to get in the eye, then it would irritate the outside of the eye and conjunctiva (pink part around the eye), but would not normally cause any significant damage.
