Should I worry about my dog's surgical drain having no bandage?

I’m not sure what type of surgery was done, or what types of tubes are left. This makes it hard to answer as well as I would like. However, anytime my clients have ANY concern about a healing surgical patient, then I want to see them and evaluated the incision. If your doctor says it fine then great! No worries. Some dogs are really good about rubbing their bodies on just about anything in the house to scratch their incisions. The penrose drain is likely somewhere in the house. Most penrose drains need to remain in for only 2-3 days minimum. If the surgery was done today, then it is still ok. Just contact your vet in the morning to see if they wish to reinsert it or not. Chances are your vet will just leave it as is, especially if Sunmers incision is otherwise healthy looking and free of infection. Take care of that fur baby!

That looks fine for the stage it's at. Rather than cover the wound with a bandage, I would put an e-collar or an inflatable collar on him that will keep him from licking at it, unless he's getting to it with his hind claws. In that case you can put baby socks on his hind feet to keep his claws from getting into the staples. If you do keep it covered, change the bandage daily or twice daily if the wound oozes a bit.

That is normal drainage - that is why the "drain" is there; so that fluid does not collect under the skin to cause a swelling. If you are worried you can always take him back to your vet for a follow-up. From the photos this appears normal to me.

It looks like a penrose drain was placed these drains usually stay in 3-5 days. It is normal to see a blood discharge or seriosangenous fluid like it see in the picture. I would monitor the wound for drainage. It should be decreasing each day. If at anytime the patient is lethargic or not eating/drinking I would take him back to the vet to have it checked.

The purpose of the collar is that the dog cannot lick the wound and introduce bacteria and keeping it from healing. Puncture wounds need to be open, not dressed as covering them could theoretically cause anaerobic bacteria such as those causing tetanus to multiply and cause fatal infection. Please put the collar back on. Charlie will get used to it eventually. Do not clean the wounds, leave them alone, You can pat the discharge off as they are draining naturally. If by tomorrow they have not improved or if there is pus draining, you should take Charlie back to the vet for a recheck.

The wound looks dry and not swollen. A small amount of discharge (not pus) even clear blood, would be normal. If your dog is otherwise normal, eating and drinking ok and normal activity level and not painful, I would just monitor her at this stage and make sure she does not lick the wound and rest her as much as possible. A buster collar would be helpful in case of any licking.
