Should I put sunscreen on my dog's bald spot from a skin condition?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 17 lbs

Giulio has a patch of missing fur from a skin condition as a puppy. Is it necessary to put sunscreen on the patch when he is in the sun?
