Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Female | spayed | 13 years and 7 months old | 89.8 lbs

I have sucralfate on hand, have an 89# German Shepherd W/ UTI being tx with Amoxi-Clav 875/175 & Proin (50 mg) both 1 tab bid. She is vomiting undigested food due to meds. May I give her sucralfate slurry bid 30 min ā meals?

Yes you can, a one tablet slurry. I'm not sure it will help much but it won't hurt.

Call your vet when you can and report the reaction. It would be best to switch her to a different antibiotic. Amoxi-Clav is notorious for causing GI upset.

Hope this helps.
