My dog vomited. Can I still give her the next dose of UTI antibiotics?

I'm sorry to hear that your little girl is not feeling well. For a UTI, that is an appropriate dose of Baytril. Unfortunately, Baytril, along with most other antibiotics, can cause vomiting. You can either try to give the pill with food or cut it in half and give half of the tablet every 12 hours. This way she still gets the full pill every day, but decreasing the amount given at one time may decrease the upset stomach she is experiencing. If she continues to vomit, I would recommend contacting your veterinarian as she may need to get a different antibiotic if she can't tolerate the Baytril.

Antibiotics and urinary tract infections themselves can both cause nausea/vomiting. However, as you finished the antibiotics 5 days ago, it is less likely that the vomiting is due to the UTI antibiotics. If she has recently gotten table food or had access to food from the garbage, she may have a condition called pancreatitis caused by a sudden high fat meal that may cause vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain. A trip to your veterinarian for screening bloodwork to rule out a liver/kidney/pancreas issue as the cause of the vomiting, subcutaneous fluid therapy, anti-nausea medication (cerenia), and a prescription intestinal diet is advised. If you are not able to get an appointment immediately, I recommend feeding only a bland diet of boiled rice and chicken (with no regular kibble) for the next 3-5 days. Sometimes this alone helps resolve the symptoms of mild gastroenteritis. Good luck!

Medication choice depends on what type of infection they found and if culture/sensitively was performed. Be sure to feed her before medication. In some cases smaller can be given more frequently, or different antibiotic or possibly a long lasting injection may be given if she can not tolerate oral medications Good luck I hope she’s better soon.

If Bella just started vomiting since starting the Amoxicillin, I would stop giving her the medication and schedule a recheck with your vet. She likely is just sensitive to this medication and will do fine on another one. Try offering her something easily digestible to eat like plain boiled chicken and rice. I would not stop the antibiotics until the full course is given, however if she will take a treat, giving it with that, or even a little boiled chicken may help entice her to eat some without upsetting her stomach. If she is refusing any and all food at all, it is best to let the vet know as they may want to start other treatments such as an IV/injectable antibiotic or IV fluids to help get her feeling better.

Any medication can cause nausea and vomiting in individual patients and both urinax and antibiotics could be contributing. If the discomfort and straining has resolved you should discuss withdrawing the urimax with your vet. It would be useful to know how long she has been on the antibiotics - I would recommend a repeat urine sample if longer than 5-7days to see if the condition has cleared and it may be possible to withdraw the medication to see if this resolves the vomiting. If so, a repeat sample after 7-10days would be recommended to check for any relapse given the short treatment time.

This does need to be checked out by a vet; however, if she is no longer vomiting, is still eating and drinking, does not have diarrhea, and isn't lethargic, then it's fine to wait until your regular vet is back on.
