My dog has a string from her butt. Is it a worm or foreign object?

It could cause her to have runny and bloody stools if there is one, and I do recommend having x-rays done on Franny to see if she does have a linear foreign body. If she does have one, she will need surgery to remove it. I would make sure that she has no access whatsoever to the strings from the throw blanket in the future.

You can take a fresh stool sample to your veterinarian and have it examined. You can also get a wormer from your vet or from a pet shop. You also might want to take Iggy to the vet for a wellness exam.
