My dog's stitches are out. Is a smelly wound infected? How to ease pain?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 69.9 lbs

If my dogs stiches come out will he still heal? What medicine do I give him to relive the pain? And is it bad that his wound smells?

It depends how long the stitches have been there, in most cases if the stitches hold a week then the wound should stay closed. is he on antibiotics? if not you need to contact your vet as a wound that smells is an infected wound. regarding pain, your vet should have provided you pain killers, you can't give him any human pain killers, it has to come from your vet.
