Poor Rain! That's a very tough spot for the body to heal itself because it doesn't have great blood supply and it's easy for pets to get to and lick, which is really bad for healing. It's a little hard to see how moist or dry the wound is from the pictures. It looks like it was very wet last night, and is a bit drier today. It actually looks pretty good to me, especially if this only happened a few days ago. So, I would be comfortable waiting until tomorrow, UNLESS you're seeing increased discharge or if Rain is lethargic/not eating/seems very painful. I'd recommend she have a soft sided cone on if possible to try to prevent licking, along with close supervision because cats are great at getting around the cones - pet stores often sell these. A hard sided one might work better, but could also be used to rub against the wound, so I would definitely use that if your vet gave you one or recommends it, but wouldn't advise it without seeing her in person to see how she's moving around and how comfortable she is. Yes, this does look infected and I would recommend taking him back for a vet exam. The wound will definitely need to be cleaned out and the vet may want to prescribe antibiotics for it. For now, it's good to keep the wound clean by flushing it with clean water twice a day. Flush the wound for at-least 10 minutes using good pressure. Gently wipe away crusts or other debris. I don't recommend putting any soaps or antiseptics on the wound for now. Draeko will probably just lick it away and it may delay healing. I hope that helps and Draeko gets better soon.

These type of injuries are often due to a puncture between the toes. Sometimes the thing that punctures the toes stays under the skin. This commonly happens with thorns and grass awns. In both cases, an infection develops under the skin and will not heal until the source of infection is removed. Lioh's injury does appear to be infected from what I can see in the photos and it will be best to take him to the vet for treatment. For now, you can try doing a twice daily foot bath with Epsom salts to help decrease the swelling and help treat the infection. Just make sure that he doesn't drink the Epsom salt water, or it will make him sick. I hope that helps and Lioh gets better soon.

Ouch! That does look pretty painful. If it's not healing with home care, I'd definitely bring Aspen into your vet. They can provide oral antibiotics and pain medications as needed, and can help deeply clean the wound to flush out any dirt or debris. Paw pads can sometimes be hard to stitch up, especially since it's on a walking surface, so keeping it as clean and dry as possible is best, however your vet can close the wound with wound glute or stitches as needed if it isn't healing, or is larger than a few centimeters in length.

It depends how long the stitches have been there, in most cases if the stitches hold a week then the wound should stay closed. is he on antibiotics? if not you need to contact your vet as a wound that smells is an infected wound. regarding pain, your vet should have provided you pain killers, you can't give him any human pain killers, it has to come from your vet.

If you haven't been back to the vet since starting antibiotics, I'd recommend going back so they can see how it looks now. You definitely need a vet visit before finishing the antibiotics, since it's not looking healed up.
