My dog has a small white bump on her side, no pain. Should I worry?

  These bumps could be several types of things including benign growths like sebaceous cysts or something more worrisome like mast cell tumors. Unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to have a veterinarian take a small needle sample or biopsy for examination under a microscope. I'd recommend having Gertie checked out by a veterinarian to ensure these growths do not need to be surgically removed. At minimum, you should closely monitor the size, shape, and color of these growths and if they are changing Gertie should have these sites biopsied.

  That looks like a healing open wound but to be safe I would get your vet to check it, especially if it's come up suddenly or has changed size, shape, texture recently. She is young to have malignant growths but it's not unheard of even in younger dogs.

  Any lump which is raised, ulcerated/scabbing, has any discharge , rapid growing or painful should be checked by your vet. This appears to be the case and i recommend you get Daisy checked and the growth may need to undergo testing to determine the underlying nature

  Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Bella is adorable! I can see that she has what appears to be a lump beneath the fur on her shoulder. This can be a growth or an infection, but it is impossible to tell from a photo. I recommend taking her to the vet right away. Your vet can take a small sample of the lump to determine exactly what it is as well as perform x-rays and bloodwork to rule out the conditions you are concerned about.
