I'm glad that Wilson is not bothered by these skin lesions, but the bumps are a bit unusual. They do not closely resemble papillomatous warts. It is possible that he may have a mild bacterial skin infection, but begin or malignant masses, ingrown hairs, immune-mediated condition and fungal infections must also be considered. The only way to diagnose the cause of these lesions is by performing microscopic cytology. Your best bet is to take Wilson to his vet for evaluation so that appropriate medication can be started. I do not recommend using an over the counter topical medication because it may not be the appropriate medication to treat his current issue and topical medications should not be ingested (and it would be impossible to keep him from licking his lips!). I hope that all goes well for Wilson!
