What are these spots or lumps on my dog's skin? Should I worry?

Any suspicious lumps should be examined by the vet. This lump on Ophelia could be caused by a wart, but it could also be due to a benign tumor or a malignant tumor. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. I would have Ophelia seen by a vet on Monday or Tuesday to have this lump examined and diagnosed so it can be treated as needed.

Then you will know what types of masses are present and if they are benign, then you don’t need to continue worrying. Hello. Pretty much all of these look benign & not overly worrisome. But all new lumps, bumps & nodules should be pointed out to your veterinarian at Skittles next scheduled visit. Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Is that supposed to be the same growth in both photos? The growth if the first photo looks suspicious for a malignant tumor. The tissue around the mass is swollen and the mass itself is raised and ulcerated; both can be signs of a malignancy. I cannot tell you for sure though just by looking at a photo. The second photo looks like a benign wart. In general, any new lumps/bumps should be examined by your vet. The first photo looks worrisome and I think you should have it checked in the next few days.

Hello. These are probably benign, but since they are pigmented, I would recommend checking them out. A biopsy of one of them should confirm what the rest are & if a treatment plan is indicated, your veterinarian will know exactly what to do, even if it is just a watch & wait on the bumps. That appears to be a benign skin wart. I would not be overly concerned unless it is causing Kiko any discomfort. Next time you have him to the vet just point it out so they can confirm. Of course, if you are worried, there is no harm in having your vet check it out now.
