My dog is shivering, but acting normal. When should I worry?

Dogs can warm up pretty quickly, so if he is back to acting normally, I would not be concerned. You can monitor for signs of continued shivering, lethargy, decreased appetite. Hello. Making any kind of assumption or diagnosis is very difficult just based on panting & shivering, but I can tell you this can be typical signs of pain & an elevated temperature. Since he has periods of normal behavior, my concerns is there is some underlying pain that JosLouis is experiencing. It could be from any area, so even if he quits the behavior, I would recommend having your vet check him out, just to make sure. Hope all is well soon. I'm sorry to hear that Lola is not acting herself. Shaking and panting could be signs of several different things such as pain, anxiety or early signs of illness. If she's acting normal otherwise, I would watch her closely. If she goes back to her normal self tomorrow, there is probably nothing to worry about. If she continues this tomorrow, especially if other signs of illness develop, I would take her to a veterinarian. Please do not give her any over the counter human medication such as aspirin, ibuprofen or Tylenol as these can have serious side effects in animals. If you feel that she is in pain, it would be best to take her to a veterinarian tonight.

Shivering can be a sign of pain, nausea, or a fever. Muscle tremors can look like shivering and can occur with some toxins or neurologic diseases. If the shivering continues I'd recommend having Zoey examined by a veterinarian.

Ignacio could be shaking because he's cold, nervous, scared, or in pain. I would make sure he is warm and comfortable, and that he is eating and drinking normally. Keep him quiet tonight and if he's still shaking in the morning, I would have him seen by a vet for a health check.
