Is there a shampoo that can be used with a flea topical such as Advantix that won't wash the topical off? I know staying away from detergents like Dawn or anything that can strip them of their oils. Thanks!

It is not necessary to wait to treat the fleas; I recommend treating them as soon as possible, and continue treating at least 3 months. You do not need to bathe them prior to treatment, and it is not recommended to bathe them after treatment so that won't be a problem. Dish soap may help encourage adult fleas to jump off, but will not treat the underlying flea problem as it will not address the earlier life stages such as eggs, nor will it do anything for the fleas in the environment. It is important to treat the environment, as well as all pets in the house. Hope this helps!
