My dog had multiple seizures, can't walk, and breathes fast. What now?

Gizmo needs to see a vet right away, as it is a medical emergency that he's having bad seizures and a hard time breathing. He needs medical attention now for the seizures, which can be caused by tumors, low blood sugar, liver failure, kidney disease, or Cushing's disease among other causes. There is nothing you can do at home to treat him for his seizures, please take him into a vet immediately. No, this is not normal and may indicate she is having trouble moving enough air and oxygen around. I strongly recommend you contact your vets office and advise them of her progress, it is likely she requires additional treatment in order to stabilise her condition and may require a blood transfusion if very severely anemic

This sounds pretty scary for you to find! Holli could've had a seizure and is still having neurological issues. Also with her breed it could be something called GDV which is when the stomach dilates and rotates on itself. It could also be an issue with her heart. I recommend Holli go see a veterinarian as soon as possible. This is because if it is something like GDV she need surgery tonight. If it is a seizure and she still having issues then she will need medication to bring her out of it.

This sounds serious. A seizure could cause inability to move and abnormal breathing but should only last for a short period of time (less than 5 minutes). Neurologic disease would be another possibility. I would recommend seeing an emergency veterinarian right away, especially since Bossy seems to be having some difficulty breathing.

I think it is more likely that the high temperature was due to the seizures. Their bodies shake so much that it is like they just ran a marathon. The seizures could certainly be brought on by tick disease, but could also be caused by liver or kidney issues, infection, epilepsy, etc. For these types of cases, I usually hospitalize on IV fluids, run a CBC and blood chemistry and urinalysis and tick tests, and monitor for additional seizure activity throughout the day.

Poor Guido! Uncontrollable seizures and trouble breathing require immediate veterinary attention. I recommend having Guido seen at an emergency clinic, there is usually at least one clinic in most towns/cities. Guido can be stabilized and given anti-seizure medication and supportive care, and then diagnostic tests can be performed to determine the underlying cause.
