A new vet gave me two plastic syringes of Diazepam for my 12 year old Chihuahua to use rectally after a seizure to help prevent a second one. I'm under the impression, after researching, that Diazapam does not remain stable for more than approximantely two hours when stored in plastic. I questioned the vet today and was told he never heard of this, only that the Diazapam should be kept from light. I wish to know about the storage of Diazapam in plastic syringes.
