My 7-month-old pit had a seizure and is breathing hard. What to do?

It sounds like Blessing may have had a partial seizure, especially if he seemed disoriented for a little while after he was able to move again. Some other possibilities would be ingestion of a toxin, low blood sugar or liver disease, although I would expect these to cause just one incident like you describe. The breathing, clear eye discharge and lethargy are all somewhat vague signs that could be a sign of a number of different diseases. I would recommend having him examined by your veterinarian - they may recommend screening lab work especially if they are suspicious of a seizure as well. They can also listen to his lungs and examine his eyes to make sure everything is okay. If he has any other episodes similar to the one last night you should try to get a video to show your veterinarian.

Unfortunately there's not a lot of advice I can give you other than to take Savage in to see her vet ASAP. After 4 days of being abnormal, I don't think this is something that is just going to pass, and if she is in fact having seizures you are risking her life by not seeking care. You've described several very concerning signs - breathing difficulties, seizures, bloody diarrhea, and vomiting- and she needs to be seen and have some diagnostics - blood work, possibly x-rays, and a good physical exam - to try to figure out what is going on and how to help her.

I highly recommend that you have Ice evaluated by a veterinarian as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. You could consider an emergency veterinarian that is open at this time. If there are no emergency veterinarians open in your area, make sure to take him as soon as they are. This is not something that can really be managed at home. Diagnostics that will be recommended will include bloodwork and advanced imaging such as an MRI. It is probably seizure activity. Not all seizures are grand mal where they fall over and start paddling. If nothing is found on testing then it is probably idiopathic epilepsy and I would try anti-seizure medications. ( https://veterinarypartner.vin.com/default.aspx?pid=19239&id=4951440 )

Based on your description, I would recommend having x-rays taken for the raspy breathing and if these episodes continue to occur, consider placing Jordan on anti-seizure medications to see if that helps. I hate to hear that Peyton had some sort of an episode. Certainly urinating on himself is suspicious of a seizure type activity, although other neurological abnormalities could cause similar signs. I recommend to have him seen by his veterinarian today if possible. The doctor will check his neurological reflexes to try to determine the cause. If it was a seizure, this can be caused by epilepsy, electrolyte imbalance, liver disease or cancer. The doctor will likely recommend blood work and may have further recommendations pending lab results and physical exam. I hope your boy does well! Other signs of seizures would be strange behavior before the seizure, the seizure itself can include shaking or tending of all the muscles, Bailey may urinate or defecate during as well. I recommend keeping a close eye on her and trying to film this if it happens again to show your vet. They can determine the cause of the seizure with blood work and more advanced imaging such as a CT scan. If seizure activity is confirmed, Bailey will likely be placed on anti-seizure medication.
