My pug is restless, tucks tail, and has a firm belly. What's wrong?

Poor guy. Stomach upset is a possible cause; however, with such vague symptoms of being uncomfortable and decreased appetite, there are other potential internal issues. I notice that he is intact also, so a prostate issue could also cause a sudden pain response and decreased appetite as well. If he does not seem to be improving on his own within the next 1-2 days, then it is best to get him fully examined by your veterinarian for any other sources of his pain (prostate, joints, etc). It's very unlikely he has a tumor at his age, instead of an xray i would recommend having an ultrasound done (by a specialist), this has better chance of giving you an accurate answer regarding the condition he is suffering from. i'm not sure he will need surgery, it really depends on what is causing it.

Frąnk may be having abdominal pain and pancreatitis can be common in pugs. I recommend he get examined by a veterinarian soon as he could become dehydrated. Also do not give him food while he is still vomiting as well as do not give human pain medication as it can be toxic to dogs.

Based on your description, I would be most suspicious that Xurrie has injured her back somehow. Injuries like this can results from compressed discs to pinched nerves and muscle strains. The doctor will give her a thorough exam and likely recommend radiographs, pain medications and rest. Pancreatitis can also sometimes present like this. If the doctor is more suspicious of this condition, they will likely recommend some blood tests. I hope its nothin serious for Xurrie!
