Is my dog tired of her food? She only wants human table scraps.

A few things could be going on: One, if he got into people food and it was high fat or very rich, he could be experiencing some digestive upset. Picking up his regular food and feeding a bland meal of boiled rice and chicken may help settle his stomach and get him back on schedule. Signs of GI upset also include vomiting, diarrhea, sore belly, etc. If this is the case and a bland diet doesn't help, or he has quite a few GI symptoms, seeking veterinary care is best to rule out more serious issues such as pancreatitis from eating people food. Two, if he prefers people food to his food, it could be he's trying to "hold out" in the hopes you are going to give in and give him more. If he's otherwise healthy and normal, it is best to stop offering ALL people food and treats, and only offer his dog food. You may need to put his food down for 10-15 minutes several times throughout the day to encourage him to eat. Most dogs will not starve, and will eventually check out their food and eat it. (Sometimes pretending its people food can kick-start this as well!)

Fromm is perfectly fine for Mila. Dogs don't even have a third the taste buds humans do (1,706 compared to our 9,000!), so they don't need a variety in food. In all honestly, Mila would be just fine eating the same food day in and out for the rest of her life. Changing her food too often leads to a picky eater, which you want to avoid. You can give her the occasional treat, such as pig ears, hard boiled egg (no shell), or Beggin' strips. My dogs personally love pig ears! I hope this helps.

I would recommend staying with the same dog food and try having the family stop supplementing people food. Most dogs will not starve themselves. It is kay if Oliver wants to eat through the day too instead on one meal. My dogs will some days not eat till noon and other days eat all of the food as soon as I put it down at 5. I would only become concerned if he goes a day or two with out eating, starting to vomit/diarrhea or looses weight. Again I would recommend sticking with the science diet it is a good brand of food. hope that helps

No, dogs typically do not get tired of the same food; in fact, they can eat the same food for their entire lives, moving to a senior version of the food when they are older. I never change my dogs' food, and they are happy to eat it every day. You can try a different brand if you'd like however, but make sure to make the switch slowly to avoid GI upset. Start by mixing together the old food and the new food, and over the course to two weeks, increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of old food until they are eating the new food only. Switching flavors of food, even within the same brand, can cause GI upset in the form of vomiting and diarrhea. Dogs do not get bored with the same food, they can eat the same flavor every day and be fine. There may be a medical reasons as to why she appears bored, such as a dental issue. Since Marshall will eat in general, and is only refusing his own food, I would not believe there is anything wrong with him at this time. I agree it is strange that Marshall would suddenly decide he doesn't like his food. 7 months old is often what can be described as the "teenager time" for a dog. This means he might be asserting his opinions more for a few months. I would suggest one of the following strategies; Try adding boiled boneless chicken breast or extra lean ground beef to his regular food. Over time reducing how much you add until you don't add any or only a small amount. Try a new brand or flavour of dog food. try mixing the new with the old to limit the drastic change, and potentially upsetting Marshall's gastrointestinal tract. It's probably because she likes human food more than she likes her dog food. She should only be eating dog food, as too much human food isn't healthy for her. To get her back to eating her dog food only, I would mix the dog food and human food together, and over time, slowly decrease the amount of human food and increase the amount of dog food until she is eating dog food only. Do not give her any treats during this time, and once she is eating only dog food, do not give her any more human food.
