My dog has red pimples on his lower abdomen. What could it be?

It could either be pustules or papules which are typically a sign of mild allergies. I would recommend monitoring these areas for now if they are just localized to 1-2 areas on the body because they can resolve on their own. However if they start to spread or bother your pet (excessive licking, scratching, whining), then it is best treated with anti-histamines/steroids through your veterinarian. Allergies can be to just about anything, including food, chemicals, and other things in the environment.

Any further treatment depends on the location of the rash and getting your vet involved may be best for Abbie, because he/she can thoroughly examine the area and get her on stronger medications to resolve the skin.

I'm sorry Fox isn't doing well! It could be that he is experiencing an allergic reaction, causing the pinkish red color of his skin, the pimple things, and making the skin feel hotter than normal. He could also have an bacterial infection causing his symptoms. Without seeing him in person, I couldn't say for certain what is causing his symptoms, but it sounds like from your description that he needs to see a vet. A vet can diagnose what is causing these symptoms so he can be treated. If you can, I would take him into a vet today, even if that means going to an ER vet or finding a vet on call to see him. Hi. It looks like Jack has a bit of pyoderma or skin infection on his belly. It may be a hypersensitivity reaction to insect bites or contact allergy or he may have a mild bacterial infection. Dogs that swim a lot in ponds or creeks may get this. If this is his only sign and he is not painful or itchy then bathing with a mild antibacterial shampoo may clear it up. If it's bothering him or seems to spread or get worse I recommend taking him into the vet.

Bella could have a skin infection if she has red pus filled bumps all over her belly. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain, so I do recommend that she sees a vet for this today or tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing these bumps and can prescribe medication to treat it.
