My dog has pimple-like spots on his stomach. What could they be?

Hi! Yes for sure it could be an allergy to a new food ingredient, so you could try going back to her original food. However, dogs often get a rash caused by bacterial in this area though as well. It could be a small pustule, cyst, or mass. If it persists than you could have your vet take a look at it to determine the cause. Your vet can do a needle aspirate to help diagnose and then determine if treatment is needed.

It is likely a solitary pustule or papule. These can be commonly seen in puppies because their immune system is still developing. If it is just 1 pimple, then I would not be too concerned and would just monitor for now. However, these can turn into malignant cancerous tumors if not addressed early enough. I recommend having these removed before they turn into cancerous tumors. These superficial skin tumors are typically removed using electrocautery. Removal is typically simple and requires no major aftercare for healing. I hope this helps!
