It appears to be some moderate gingivitis and tartar. The tooth underneath the red area may be affected, and may not. It would take an xray of that area to know for sure. I recommend getting her examined by your veterinarian and planning a dental cleaning and oral x-rays.

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Iggy and providing a picture of his gums, it's very helpful. The gum around around the canine tooth looks a bit red, and I see some tartar starting to build up on that tooth. It could be the gum is red from the tarter build up. It's not a huge build up of tarter, but it's best to have it removed before it gets worse. Like humans, dogs need regular dental cleaning, scaling, and polishing of their teeth. I recommend scheduling a dental procedure with his vet. I hope this helps!
