Why is my dog's gum bleeding? Is it an infection or injury?

It is not possible to know the full extent of this just based on pictures though this does look like significant gingivitis and dental disease. Sometimes this is due to pure inflammation secondary to dental disease and sometimes there may be an infection. It appears to be some moderate gingivitis and tartar. The tooth underneath the red area may be affected, and may not. It would take an xray of that area to know for sure. I recommend getting her examined by your veterinarian and planning a dental cleaning and oral x-rays.

This could be due to gingivitis or other periodontal conditions. Have Diesel physically examined by your veterinarian. A complete dental cleaning may be indicated. If he will allow, daily brushing would slow the progression of dental disease. Use a pet approved toothpaste and toothbrush.

This may be a wound with impacted food, or it could be from infection of the roots of the incisor teeth. I would recommend having your vet examine Thor's mouth - they might recommend a dental exam and x-rays to better determine what is going on.

Oh my. At this age your pet shouldn't have too much dental disease to cause bleeding gums. This is definitely not normal and I worry that Abdul may either have a bleeding disorder (which can only be diagnosed and treated through your vet) or there may be multiple cuts in the mouth from something sharp your pet recently chewed on. I would highly recommend taking Abdul in to your vet to have them examine the mouth asap since a bleeding disorder is a possibility here. If there are cuts in the mouth that is causing this, then an oral rinse and oral pet friendly anti-inflammatory medicaiton will likely be prescribed. Constant bleeding from the gums is not normal and not that easy to stop. It could be a bleeding disorder or a gum/teeth condition, it needs to be checked by a vet, if it's a tooth that is causing this, or something that is stuck in the gums, your dog will need to be put under sedation in order to solve this issue.

It seems like that tooth has to be extracted as it is full of tartar and probably very much exposed and unstable. I would recommend to have Peanut checked as soon as possible and have most appropriate procedure performed. It may be possible to extract it directly if the tooth it is very wobbly (probably with just local anesthetic).
