My dog has a rash, vomiting, diarrhea, and is tired. What's wrong?

This could be due to an allergic reaction to something he ate, maybe a new food , a treat or just something he snapped from the floor on the street. if it is bad you should take him to the vet to get it treated with allergy meds and possibly diarrhea meds as well.

This is probably an allergic reaction due to an insect bite or a plant outside. It could also be due to something he ingested. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if therash becomes too severe or if your dog is lethargic, take him to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.

I doubt they were caused by the same thing but that doesn't mean stress or being sick didn't affect another part of the body to make it more susceptible to a disease. There is nothing to put on her mouth since she will just lick it off. You can try boiled chicken and rice and add canine probiotics to the food to help with the diarrhea until you can get her seen. She will likely need a fecal exam and a skin sample by a vet since it has been going on for so long

Yes, any pet that has persistent signs especially vomiting and diarrhea should be evaluated immediately. Once dehydration and electrolyte imbalance develop, they will just continue to get weaker and weaker unless treated. Reasons for vomiting/diarrhea are many and range from intestinal problems or problems with other organs in the body causing the signs. Intestinal worms, dietary indiscretion (eating things she is not supposed to eat), dietary intolerance/sensitivity, a foreign body (especially in younger dogs), infection, inflammation, toxins, pancreatitis, kidney/liver problems, etc. Your vet can do a physical exam and some tests which could include a fecal exam, blood work, x-rays, ultrasound, etc. to try to determine what is causing the problem. Once a diagnosis is made they will advise a treatment plan to address the issue. Your vet can also address the itching of her muzzle and whining which may or may not be related. I hope this is just temporary and it resolves quickly for you and Moka.

The skin infection may be due to a resistant bacteria, so you may need to play around with various other antibiotics to see which works best. I would also recommend using a topical approach using the following products and see if this helps. As for the diarrhea, I would also add in a probiotic such as Fortiflora and test the stool for intestinal parasites. 1. Douxo PS Chlorhexidine combination shampoo 2. Malacetic conditioning spray 3. Essential 6 spot on by dermoscent Mojo is a breed where we do see skin infections and abnormal skin problems show up commonly. The diarrhea could be from something such as a dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, GI inflammatory disease, cancer, etc. You could use Tylosin powder (an antibiotic) and see if this helps calm down the diarrhea. Poor Daisy! If she's vomiting, acting lethargic, and not wanting to eat or drink much, this is quite serious and she needs to be seen by a veterinarian right away. I would recommend taking her in today for an exam. She may have an illness like parvo at this point, even if she tested negative recently - or she may have some other problem causing her current symptoms. Regardless of the underlying cause, these symptoms can be life-threatening in a puppy this age, so she needs veterinary care right away.

Diarrhea and throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc. The only way to find out what is causing a possible food allergy is a) to know what you are feeding her and 2) to do an elimination diet under veterinary supervision. I would fast Merida for 24 hours and then her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.
