What does "MFG by SP" mean on my dog's 2016 rabies certificate?

I am sorry it is hard to tell because not all the label is in English. There is a red R there but i do not specifically see the word Rabies in English. There is also DAPP there which would typically be the acronym for the distemper parvo vaccine but as the whole label is not in English it is hard to know what that really represents. Your options are to call the clinic that gave the vaccine for verification or contact Merial who made the vaccine. Any rabies vaccination should also come with a Rabies certificate. This is usually just printed on regular paper, so you may want to double check that it isn’t attached to your receipt. However, if you did not receive one then I would call the location and ask to speak with the manager associated with the vaccine clinic. Hopefully a reprint /copy can be made. The easiest way is to call the vet clinic that gave them. They often have codes specific to their practice. The Intra-trac could be either a Bordatella vaccine, or a combination Bordatella, parainfluenza, adenovirus 2 vaccine. The DHPP stands for Distemper, Hepatitis (adenovirus 2), Parvovirus and Parainfluenza. I hope that helps and all is well with Ella Grace.

Hello. Hexadog is a multivalent vaccine that protects a dog against 6 diseases including rabies. Rabisin only protects against rabies. So if your only requirement is to make sure your pet is vaccinated against rabies, either vaccine will be fine & will qualify to protect against rabies. You can but it would be best to have a vet administer the vaccinations so they can talk to you about what else she may need. She will also needs boosters. So, technically, yes you can give that vaccination yourself if you feel comfortable doing it. Two more boosters 3-4 week apart would be needed afterwards. Mabel will be due for a rabies vaccination by 16 weeks of age and that has to be administered by a vet (this is law) so you are best off taking her and getting them all done together. Highly social dogs receive the influenza vaccine, but this may be unnecessary for her if she is not going to dog parks, doggy daycare, etc due to her aggression. I hope this information helps!

Hello, and thanks for using PetCoach. The most important thing is that your dog was vaccinated for Rabies prior to this attack, and that you boostered his vaccine again afterwards. The rabies vaccine is quite effective, and boostering the vaccine after the attack will help in case one of the unvaccinated dog did have rabies. Ideally, it would be beneficial to observe all 3 dogs for 10 days after the attack, but you have done everything right with your own dog. If that third missing dog did have rabies and has since died, then the other two (unvaccinated) dogs would likely need to be euthanized, and your dog would need to be closely monitored for several months - but the risk of your dog contracting rabies with an up-to-date vaccination status is very very low.
