What to do if my 7-week-old pit mastiff puppy has pus in its eye?

I think Bama should have his eyes looked at today or tomorrow at the latest. It could just be allergies or conjunctivitis but he could have inflammation with in the eyes (uveitis) or scratches on his corneas. The squinting indicates pain. When it comes to eyes its best to have them looked at sooner than later. I hope this helps and i wish Bama the very best!

I would have the puppies seen by a vet immediately. This pus can indicate an eye infection, and that should be treated by a vet. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with them should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take these puppies, their siblings, and their mother into the vet right away.

Reign's eyes do look a little irritated to me. Potential causes include allergies, conjunctivitis, bacterial infection, blocked tear ducts, or dust getting in his eyes. If you have some saline for human eyes, you can use it to gently flush the eyes to remove any irritating debris. Continue to monitor him for 1-2 days, if it isn't better or if the redness gets worse, or if there is a yellow/white/green discharge, he may need to be seen by a vet for eye medications.

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Carter! Possible causes are: skin infection, fungal infection, demodex or an immune condition call puppy strangles. His skin looks bad in the picture. I would recommend taking him to the Vet on Monday. Skin infections need antibiotics, demodex is treated with oral flea/tick medications like Nexgard, Simparica and Bravecto and puppy strangles is treated with steroids and antibiotics. Poor Willow! This white pus in his eyes are a sign of an eye infection, and he has to see a vet immediately for it. The eye is such an important and delicate structure that any problem with them should be considered an emergency. Leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Willow into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see him now. While there, the vet can investigate the cause of his vomiting, which can certainly be caused by eating something he shouldn't, as well as parvovirus, GI illness, or a foreign body.

Place an e-collar (cone) on him to prevent rubbing or pawing. A cool compress may decrease swelling. Ideally, he should be examined by your veterinarian to diagnose and treat any trauma to the eye to prevent permanent damage or loss of vision.
