My dog has a pink lump and other skin growths. What could they be?

Hello. From the pictures it is very hard to see what is going on with Maxx. I would recommend having the mass surgically removed and sent for histopathology to determine exactly what it is. Your vet will take as large margins as possible in case it is cancerous. It could be just a wart, or could be a parasite, however since there are multiple and growing I would suggest having it removed to determine exactly what it is. Good luck with Maxx!

It looks like that left lower mammary gland is swollen from the photos although it is difficult to say for sure. The other "zit" looking things are pustules and could be the start of a bacterial infection of the skin or they could be plugged hair follicles. I think you should get her to your vet for an exam especially if that mammary gland is swollen. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

Luckily no, this is a wart which is a benign skin growth. Many dogs get warts as they age and they are nothing to be overly concerned about unless they get very large or are in a location to be cut when dogs are getting groomed. Please keep in mind that without seeing it in person or even a picture, I can't say if Luna has a wart or not. It certainly is possible that she does have a wart, but it could be another kind of benign tumor. I would have her seen by a vet for it. The vet can perform a test called a fine needle aspirate on it. To do this, the vet sticks a small needle into the lump to get a sample of it's cells, and examines the cells on a slide under a microscope. It's usually painless to the animal, and relatively quick to perform. If it is a wart, typically it doesn't need to be removed surgically unless it's bothering her. You can talk to the vet about if it needs to be removed or not. I hope this helps!

Hi there! From the photo the mass does appear to be a benign papilloma (wart). That being said, it is not easy to tell 100% from a photo. I would still recommend you take Jack to your vet for an exam just to be on the safe side. I do not think it's an emergency situation. Hello there, This appears to be a small skin growth on Niklaus' chin. I would recommend having him seen by his regular veterinarian this week for an exam. They can take a small needle aspirate of the lump (fine needle aspirate) and examine the cells to tell you more information. There are two main things that I am suspicious of, though it may be something else entirely: histioctyoma or mast cell tumor. Histiocytomas are a benign and generally self resolving type of growth. Mast cell tumors are unfortunately a type of cancer and he may need surgical removal of the mass as well as more testing. I will hope for a benign finding for Niklaus growth. Best of luck to you two.
