My dog has a pink bump. Is it a wart or skin tag? Should I worry?

This looks like a mass. It looks quite benign such as a wart or skin tag, however it is impossible to know for sure without testing the lump. You could have the lump tested/removed or simply monitor it for changes. I wouldn't be overly concerned about it.

This is likely a harmless wart, especially since it has not changed in size or shape for many months. Continue monitoring it and if it changes in shape, size or color have your veterinarian examine it. Your vet may then want to do a fine needle aspirate (he takes some material from the bump with a needle and then looks at it under the microscope) to determine whether the mass is concerning.

Without seeing it in person it is hard to know for sure what the growth is. It is not likely a wart. Warts are caused by viruses and often seen in the mouth of dogs. This may very well be a benign skin tag/growth, but with any lump an evaluation by your veterinarian at your earliest convenience is recommended. They may take a small needle sample and look at the cells under the microscope to get more info and make sure it is nothing to worry about. They can also discuss options for removal if it is growing or if it is bothering pogi.

Hi there. Unfortunately there are many different kinds of skin tumors/growths that dogs and get and it can be hard to tell what they are just by looking at them. I think it looks like a benign papilloma wart but you must understand that there is no way I can tell you that for sure. It could certainly be a life-threatening cancer. There is just no way to tell from a photo. I don't think it is an emergency but when you can get the funds together I suggest you have that checked out by your local vet especially if it continues to change (size, shape, etc). The growth does look irritated like he either scratched it or is biting at it. If that is the case you need to get him an E-collar (cone) to wear so he stops messing with it. If he continues to traumatize it then it may get infected. If he is not messing with it then I suggest you just leave it alone (no treatment) for now and just watch it. Hope this helps. Best wishes.

That appears to be a benign skin wart. I would not be overly concerned unless it is causing Kiko any discomfort. Next time you have him to the vet just point it out so they can confirm. Of course, if you are worried, there is no harm in having your vet check it out now.

I would not be concerned about this. It looks to be either a papilloma wart or a histiocytoma (benign tumor) both of which are common in young dogs. Usually these things will go away on their own within 4 to 8 weeks. If it gets larger in that a time frame or by 8 weeks it has not gone away then he should see your vet. Hope this helps. That mass could be several things. Red raised hairless masses can be benign growths such as warts, histiocytomas, reactions or infected hair follicles. They can unfortunately also be malignant grows such as Mast Cell Tumor or Plasmacytoma. I would recommend to have it checked out by the vet who may be better able to tell how concerned you should be by palpating the mass and the surrounding lymphnodes.
