Why does my dog have small, zit-like bumps on their stomach?

I would get that checked to be safe. It looks a little like a staph infection or, more concerning, ringworm. Ringworm tends to be itchy and spreads and is highly contagious to other pets and people in the household. Your vet will do an exam and some labwork to determine the cause and based on those results will be better able to tell you what is going on and the best course of treatment.

I'm wondering if the 'pimple' in the first picture is potentially part of her spay scar and a suture reaction if she was recently adopted and spayed. You may be able to feel some 'firm' tissue beneath this area if that is the case. It's also possible that this is a small skin mass that has become infected. Dogs can develop milia, but milia are most commonly seen when there is excess cortisol due to a disease like Cushing's. The milia do not typically require treatment but the underlying disease does. Cushing's is common in middle aged to older dogs and other signs include increased thirst, hunger and urination. I think it would be a good idea to have a veterinarian examine her skin to make sure treatment for an infection isn't necessary, and to discuss testing for Cushing's disease if she is showing any other signs.

This is often differentiated by a test called a fine needle aspirate (FNA) which is a pain free, inexpensive and easy procedure which in most cases will help reach a diagnosis. Sometimes a biopsy is needed for a definitive diagnosis. I recommend that you have her evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. I am really hoping for something benign. Pimple type bumps can be a sign of a bacterial infection of the skin that often require antibiotic therapy to treat. I would recommend setting up an appointment with Bella's vet for an exam and they can prescribe antibiotics if that is what she ends up needing!

These appear to be little pus-filled bumps that occur due to a bacterial infection (pyoderma). Puppies commonly get this on their bellies and they usually go away with good cleaning. In an adult dog this can happen when they are in contact with something that irritates the skin and sets up an environment for infection. I recommend cleaning the belly with a medicated wipe or shampoo (can get this at the pet store) once a day until the bump(s) are gone. If it seems to get worse, then you'll want to take Calamity Jane into the vet for an exam. Bella could have a skin infection if she has red pus filled bumps all over her belly. Without seeing her in person, I can't say for certain, so I do recommend that she sees a vet for this today or tomorrow. The vet can diagnose what is causing these bumps and can prescribe medication to treat it.

It is hard to tell from the picture what these could be. Sometimes growths of the oil glands in the skin can appear this way. Infection can also be black and crusty. Melanomas can also appear as black growths on the skin. I would recommend that you take her to see your veterinarian so they can take a sample to diagnose it so that you know what it is and what needs to be done about it.
