My puppy's penis tip is red after grooming. Is it normal or serious?

It's not a weird question! The dog's penis contains a bone called the os penis. This bone can give the penis a white color if the tissues are pulled tight on it. It's normal, and I wouldn't worry about it unless he's excessively licking at it, straining to urinate, or has blood in his urine :-)

Thank you for the picture, it helps with my answer. It looks normal in the picture, I don't see any redness or other concerning signs. If Winnie is peeing normally, behaving normally, and not obsessively licking his penis, then I would not worry. I hope this helps!

Hi. Yes this is.most likley a harmless inicdent that probly wont happen again. I would recommend getting an evollar cone to have him wear for a.couple days to keep him from licking. I would also recommend placing a small amount of lube.or vaseline or ky jelly in the rip of that prepuce to lube it. If it gets worse at all get him in. Good luck

Yes, I would recommend having him examine by a veterinarian so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. It is hard to say for sure from the blurry photo but it appears as though the tip of the penis is stuck out of the prepuce. It looks as though Oliver has paraphimosis (inability to completely retract the penis into the prepuce) and this can be caused by a number of things. It would be best to have the veterinarian take a look at this for the most appropriate treatment recommendations. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. It is difficult to see what you have a question about. It appears that Buddy's penis may be partially extruded from his sheath in the photo. If he is having any difficulty urinating, straining or painful I recommend having the sitter take him to the vet. Based on your description and the picture you have provided I would recommend having a veterinarian examined Bubba so that the most appropriate Diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. When the penis is stuck outside the prepuce comma such as what is going on in the photo of Bubba, it is a condition known as paraphimosis. If the penis becomes discolored and white, this usually indicates that the circulation to the penis has been compromised. When the penis gets stuck outside the prepuce, the prepuce can act as a tourniquet and cut off circulation to the penis itself.
