Dog peeing blood clots but seems fine. Should I take her to ER?

It's normal for there to be some blood in the urine with a UTI, however passing clots is not very common. If the vet didn't take x-rays or do an ultrasound of he bladder, I'd recommend going back for another appointment to check and make sure he doesn't have a stone - that's not something we always do in the first go around, but blood clots would make me concerned.

Yes, I would definitely take Kahlua into an ER vet. I would be very concern that if she is trying to urinate and nothing is happening that she may have bladder stones. Those can cause a blockage in the urethra, which is fatal without treatment. It could also be a UTI, but as I said, it's quite concerning that she is trying to urinate with nothing coming out. Please take her into a vet right away.

It's possible that the discoloration is from the tail-end of Ripley's heat cycle, however, if the spots continue for more than a day or so, or you begin to see other issues such as more frequent urination, cloudy urine, straining to go (squatting a lot with small amounts, etc), or other more systemic symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, changes in appetite, etc, it's a good idea to get Ripley into your vet to rule out any other issues such as a urinary tract infection.

Stress related (idiopathic type of inflammation) infections and presence of crystals are the most common causes of it. I am sorry to hear that your dog is experiencing this. Urinary tract infections would be the most common cause of dark red urine, but urinary bladder stones are also common and are more likely to lead to clots as well. Even less common but still a possibility would be urinary tract cancer. I would highly encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. Oh no, poor Casey! If she appears otherwise healthy and happy, eats and drinks plenty, you can wait until tomorrow morning if the vet is closed for the night. If she appears lethargic, ill or distressed, or if the urine appears very bloody, then she should be seen by a vet ASAP. Feed her wet/canned food, add water to it, and make sure she drinks a lot of water to help flush the bladder.

Oh my. These symptoms are alarming and very concerning. Jojo could either have a serious cystitis (inflamed bladder), raging UTI, or even a bleeding disorder is possible here. Please take her to your local vet asap for an exam, urinalysis and immediate treatment based on her lab findings.
