Why is my house-trained dog peeing on her bed with fishy urine?

It sounds like Stella may have a UTI causing the bad smell and blood in her urine. She needs to see a vet for this as soon as possible. The vet can do a physical exam, blood tests, and urinalysis to confirm she does have a UTI, and can prescribe antibiotics to treat it.

If she is leaking urine she also have have urinary incontinence. There are 2 medication options for urinary incontinence in female dogs: Proin or DES. Fishy smell usually comes from the anal glands, if it comes directly from the urine and she had an accident then she is likely to be suffering from a urinary infection, you need to take her to your vet ASAP in order to get it checked and treated, she will likely need a course of antibiotics.

She lkely has a urinary tract infection. This causes pets to pee often and can also their urine to smell fishy or foul in odor. If the smell comes and goes, then it is most likely from the anal glands. Dogs have scent glands on either side of the anus that release a stinky liquid that commonly smells fishy. If she is scooting or licking excessively, then I would have your veterinarian check her anal glands to make sure that they are not overly full. However if the smell is coming from her urine, then I would be worried that she has a urinary tract infection and would recommend having your veterinarian examine a urine sample. Good luck! First make sure its urine and not saliva. If it is urine, then Its likely Jasmine either has urinary incontinence or a urinary tract infection, or both.
