My Yorkie is pawing his eye. Is it an infection? What should I do?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Yoda. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but he may have a small mass above his left eye. If not, he may have irritated the upper eyelid from pawing at the eye. Dogs will do this secondary to an eye infection or a scratch across the surface of the eye. He will need to see his veterinarian as he will likely need treatment. In the meantime, try to prevent him from scratching the eye. I hope this information helps!
