If Diamond lived through parvovirus she is now immune and would actually pass antibody to puppies through her milk. Parvovirus cannot be transmitted from the mother to puppies through the placenta and there is no carrier state.

The other problem with the parvo-virus is that it is very hearty, meaning that it can survive a very long time in the environment. It can survive freezing and high temperatures, therefore if you had a dog in your yard with parvo-virus, then any dog that comes into your yard for years later is at risk. If the puppies were vaccinated with a modified live virus vaccine they can shed the virus for 7-10 days. However, the virus shed is non-pathogenic, and so will NOT cause disease. The most it would do is "vaccinate" in-contact animals.

It doesn’t take a lot of the virus to infect a dog. It also takes a couple of weeks to incubate the virus in the intestines so it’s not something that would show up right away. If you are concerned Coco has parvo, I would take her to a vet right away. They can test for the virus at the hospital.
