My dog recovering from parvo won't eat his food, but eats others?

  Appetite does not always come back right away after recovering from parvo, it is important to keep your puppy on anti nausea medications and highly palatable food, boiled chicken is usually one of the best ways to bring the appetite back on track.

  I'm sorry to hear that Choot has been sick. Since he is on his 7th day of treatment I am hoping her diarrhea and vomiting has resolved. If it has not resolved then this could be a reason she is not eating well.
  
  I suggest trying a home cooked diet of boiled chicken and sweet potato or rice. You can also try some different types of canned foods to see if that will encourage her to eat.
  
  Small puppies like Choot can get dehydrated and malnourished quickly if they are not eating or drinking so if she is not eating normally soon I recommend going back to your veterinarian. There are special prescription recovery diets like Hill's a/d that may encourage eating. Your veterinarian can also give an injection of Cerenia to help with nausea and encourage eating.

  Hello. I have seen pets that still refuse food even after they seem clinically recovered from Parvo. One pup took almost 14 days to start eating on his own. We now have very good appetite stimulants, so encourage your vet to be using them ( if available in your country ). Give Jack a little more time & if he is recovering, his appetite will return.   Hi there!
  
  I am sorry to hear Tracker has parvo but it is good to hear you have caught it early. Parvo causes severe inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract which can cause loss of protein, nutrients, and fluids. Dogs who get parvo and it is severe enough can die from dehydration, loss of protein, anemia, and secondary bacterial infections.
  
  You may try warming up the food and offering small amounts to him frequently. It is great to hear he is hydrated, but it may take a little time for him to feel up to eating something.
