My dog with pancreatitis has bloody stool and strains. Euthanasia?

I am so sorry to hear this but glad you could get Manchitas the appropriate medical attention! A small amount of fresh blood could still normal at this point. The most important thing is how she seems to feel- returning energy, interest in food, water and moving around on her own are all good signs! Pancreatitis can cause loose bloody stool, but should not affect a pets ability to urinate at all, as that is a completely different body system. If Eevee cannot urinate and is seen straining to urinate then I would suspect a urinary obstruction may be present which can be cause by urinary stones. He should be taken back to the vet right away for radiographs to determine if a stone is truly present and appropriate treatment for this. However, if he is not straining to urinate, he may just be dehydrated. Offer him plenty of water and perhaps even Pedialyte diluted 50:50 with water to see if this helps hydrate him enough where he can urinate regularly. Hopefully he will go soon and start to recover from his illness. Also pancreatitis can easily be diagnosed with blood snap test (cPL test) done at the vet. Poor Robin! I can see that her stool has some frank good in it. This can be caused by inflammatory bowel disease, ulcers, chronic foreign bodies, as well as pancreatitis. Intestinal parasites and viruses such as parvovirus can cause this as well. A change in diet may help, but I recommend discussing ruling out the conditions above with your veterinarian. Yes, euthanasia is definitely a very valid option here, it is quite likely that inflammation in and around her spinal nerves is contributing to both the paralysis and incontinence and severely impacting her quality of life

Blood in the stool, even if it seems to "go away" and come back later, is never normal. The fact that it's accompanied by diarrhea suggests colitis, or inflammation of the colon, as opposed to some type of bleeding mass in the rectum or colon. Colitis can have a number of causes, including dietary indiscretion (eating something rotten or non-food), parasites, food allergies/food sensitivities, inflammatory bowel disease, or infection. Leah may improve with a diet change, perhaps a more digestible diet specifically for gastrointestinal problems. To assume it's a "tummy issue" could be to ignore causes that are treatable, and at this point she's not only having diarrhea but she also lost her appetite. It's been three days and she's not improving, so I recommend having her seen by her vet for labwork to include parasite testing, blood work, and urinalysis for starters. If all is normal consider a bland diet (as recommended above), and a probiotic supplement. Ultimately, she may need to have biopsies taken to diagnose the exact cause.
