Why is my dog having bloody diarrhea and not eating for several days?

It sounds like Dasher is suffering from gastroenteritis. Some of the more common causes of gastroenteritis include intestinal parasites, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, or a foreign body/blockage. Since Dasher has been sick for so many days I would recommend taking him to the vet. He may be dehydrated and need fluids as well as some antinausea medication to get him to eat and some antibiotics to help clear up the diarrhea.

If he is acting normal then you can withhold food for 12 hours and then offer him a small amount of a bland diet, like boiled chicken and white rice, and see how he does with that. You could also add a probiotic to his food. If the diarrhea continues, he starts vomiting, and/or becomes lethargic then he needs to be examined by a vet for treatment.
