My dog has a bump on her paw pad. What is it if it doesn't hurt?

Hi there. This looks like a histiocytoma. If it is, it should regress (go away on it's own) within a month or two. I would not be overly worried about this right now. Hi there. This is most likely a histiocytoma. They will often regress on their own within a few weeks to a month. My suggestion would be to take Hazel to your vet for an exam so you can get a more definitive diagnosis. Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern! From the pictures you have provided, this appears to be what we call a sebaceous adenoma. This is a benign skin mass that we typically start to see develop in middle aged to older dogs. They do not cause any harm but can become sore and open from time to time. If these masses become infected or are painful I then recommend having them removed, otherwise, monitoring them is absolutely fine to do. I hope this helps! Lumps can be any of these things: * abscess (infection) * cyst * cancer (benign or malignant) * wart There is no way I can tell you for sure what it is just based on your description or by looking at a photo but I have a suspicion that this may be a histiocytoma (benign tumor). This isn’t a pimple. It is a small mass in the top layer of the skin. It could be a cyst, a wart, or a benign or cancerous growth. The only way to know for sure is to have your vet collect a sample with a needle to examine under a slide or to remove the whole mass and send it to the lab for evaluation. Until that happens, you can watch it for changes in size, color, texture, etc. If you notice any changes, I would call your vet to see if they can get you in sooner.

Hello. This looks like a small cyst, nothing too worrisome. It may pop & if it does, just clean the area with a good skin antiseptic like Hibiclens ( available at all pharmacies ). A warm compress or soaking the foot in warm water for 10 minutes 2-3 times per day may bring things to a head sooner, but this does not appear to be at all dangerous.
