My dog has a painless pimple on its paw for months. Should I worry?

I am sorry to hear about your concern for Lucky. It is possible this is a small pustule/bacterial infection maybe due to a wound (stepping on something sharp) but it could also be a small mass/growth (it is hard to say without seeing it in person). You can try applying warm compresses a few times a day to bring it to a head and putting a topical antibiotic ointment on the area 2-3 times a day. If the area is not resolving within a week or if it is getting larger/painful then an exam is recommended.

I'm glad to hear that this lesion isn't bothering Benji! It's certainly possible that this lesion is a benign papilloma-like lesion, but it could also be another benign or malignant type of mass. The only way to know for sure is to perform a biopsy of the lesion for pathologist evaluation, or at the very least, your vet could draw a few cells out with a needle for microscopic evaluation (fine needle aspiration). The tricky part with lumps and bumps on legs is that they're more difficult to remove if they grow because there is less extra skin that can be used to close surgically. For this reason in particular, I recommend taking Benji to your vet sooner rather than later to have this lesion examined in person. Even though he isn't bothered by the lesion when you touch it, I do recommend putting an e-collar (cone) on him until his appointment because the lesion looks a bit red and weepy. This can occur if he's been licking at it, even if you haven't seen him do so. I hope that he's on the mend soon!

No, that seems very unlikely if not impossible. This type of growth should be ideally checked by your local veterinarian to differentiate between skin cyst, benign or malignant type of tumors. Your vet can perform a fine needle aspirate or a biopsy to assess it. If it is painful it means it may be inflamed but not more than that.

This appears like a wart, or possibility a sebaceous adenoma. I would have to examine it closer to be sure though. These are benign masses that usually go away on their own. It's best to have your vet examine it to be sure. Hello. This looks like a small cyst, nothing too worrisome. It may pop & if it does, just clean the area with a good skin antiseptic like Hibiclens ( available at all pharmacies ). A warm compress or soaking the foot in warm water for 10 minutes 2-3 times per day may bring things to a head sooner, but this does not appear to be at all dangerous.
