What to do for my dog's painful sores on the bottom of his foot?

Poor Devil! These sores could be caused by a bacterial or yeast infection, or they could be caused by allergies leading him to lick his feet a lot. The only way to know what treatment that will be necessary to treat it is to have it diagnosed by a vet. I would take Devil into the vet first thing in the morning to have these sores examined and diagnosed so they can be treated.

It sounds like Cleo's sore has become infected if it's red and full of puss. She could have injured herself, or could have licked the area raw due to irritation. She will need to see a vet for antibiotics for the infection, there are no home remedies for that, and I would have her seen by a vet in the morning. For tonight, you can soak her paw in an Epson salt bath for five minutes.

Place an e-collar (cone) on Pardi to prevent licking. Gently clean with a dilute chlorhexidine solution. You can apply a non stick pad and bandage lightly, but you will need to change the bandage when it becomes moist or dirty. There are no OC medications you can safely give for pain management. See your veterinarian as soon as you are able.

Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths twice daily for 5 days. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking (if any). If the wound does not heal in 5 days a check up would be required. This looks like a cut on the pad in the picture. You can soak Solomom's foot in warm water twice daily and gently cleanse it with some antibacterial soap. The warm water should be soothing and if you gently massage his foot while it's in the water you should be able to clean the area and feel if there is something in the foot. I wouldn't put anything on this as that will encourage licking. Foot injuries are painful. If the area gets more swollen and red, or he's not walking on it better in a day or so then I would bring him in for and exam. He may need antibiotics if the cut gets infected.
