What to do for my dog's painful sores on the bottom of his foot?

My dog has two sores on the bottom of his foot

This looks like a painful, infected sore! I would not recommend using anything topical on this area - I think Brutus needs to see a veterinarian and may need oral antibiotics. Until you are able to see a veterinarian you could keep the area covered with a dog bootie and/or use an e-collar to prevent him from licking the area.
