My small dog is in pain, wobbling, and won't drink water. Help!

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 4 years and 2 months old | 9.6 lbs

My dog is having pain when picked up and moving very slowly. She is a chihuahua-dachshund and is only four years old. she won't jump and has been wobbling around for a few hours.. My mother won't take her to a vet and she won't drink water. what should I do and how can i help her pain? She's only 9.6 lbs.

It sounds like she has injured her back or neck. She really needs to see a vet. I really don't understand people getting pets and then when they are sick or injured refuse to take them for help. I know Banfield and VCA hospitals give a free first exam so that is a good option, then you would likely only have to pay for medications.

If you are absolutely not going to take her to the vet you can give BUFFERED aspirin AT YOUR OWN RISK to see if that helps her pain. It is absolutely against medical advice but you can try it. Here is a link on dosing.
