My dog hasn't peed in days, panting, can't walk. Vet needed?

Lola sounds ill, and it's quite concerning that she is squatting constantly to pee with nothing coming out. That can be a sign of bladder stones, and if these bladder stones are blocking her urethra, it is a medical emergency. A blocked urethra can lead to the bladder rupture. She could also be suffering from a UTI. Panting is a sign of pain in dogs, so if Lola is panting, I would believe that she is in pain. Based on her symptoms, it would be best if she was seen by a vet immediately. I would take her into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her now.

This is an emergency and the dog needs to see a vet doctor as soon as possible. Not urinating for two days indicates that Joy either has a blockage, or he has kidney failure. Both, if left untreated, are painful and can quickly lead to death. I recommend taking Joy to a vet as soon as possible to get this treated.

If Peach is unable to walk, she may have either a neurologic disease (such as intervertebral disc disease or a polyneuropathy) or a musculoskeletal disease (polymyopathy, arthritis, etc) that is preventing her from wanting to stand or walk. It is not normal for dogs to not urinate at least daily. Some dogs can go a day or two without defecating, but urination should happen multiple times a day. Lack of urination can be caused by or even due to kidney disease, which can rapidly become fatal if a dog does not pass urine. I do not know of her exact clinical status, but if Peach is unable to stand or walk for weeks now, and has been lethargic and not urinating/defecating, you may have to consider her quality of life. Meaning, do you believe that Peach is enjoying each day as she should. If not, is it time to consider something like humane euthanasia. I hope this is helpful.

An immediate check up is required as bladder and urethral compression/obstruction is possible and uterus infection may be present. HI, I am so sorry to hear about Smoki. Based on your description of what she is doing at home she needs to head to an emergency veterinarian right away. She sounds very uncomfortable and is straining to urinate. Reasons for this might be a urinary tract infection, bladder stones (common in her mixed breed), or a urinary obstruction (very rare in females but can happen). Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Not being able to posture to urinate or wak is an issue. A dog should not go more than 18-24 hours without urinating as that can result in severe discomfort and even metabolic imbalances. This requires a visit to a veterinarian as soon as possible so that they can consider passing a urinary catheter and possibly recommending other pain control medications as it is not normal or expected to not be able to walk to urinate at this point. If Bo is only exhibiting an increase in water intake and urination then you should be okay to wait to schedule an appointment on Monday to see his regular veterinarian. This can sometimes be due to the high environmental temperatures this time of year, but you can certainly see this with urinary tract disease/infections or with metabolic disorders (less likely since Bo is less than 1 year old). In the meantime, monitor Bo for the onset of lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, inappetance or decrease in appetite, or any more severe signs (seizure, pale mucous membranes, etc). If any of these signs are noted, then he should be examined by an emergency veterinarian immediately.
