Hi. I have a dog that is not eating we suspect she is pregnant but is too early to confirm with the vet. She just stays laid down and sometimes barf a ligth green liquid. Is there something we can give her that is safe in case she is pregnant?

Hi and thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Sorry to hear about Vanilla. I would highly advise with these signs that you should have Vanilla evaluated by your vet. I'm not convinced her age is correct since this means she would've gotten pregnant on her first heat. I'm worried about a possible infection going on and that she may or may not be pregnant. Your vet can gather a history, perform an exam, and then advise diagnostic tests to figure out what is going on. Possible tests include blood tests, vaginal smear, x-rays/ultrasound. These tests would hopefully shed some light as to why she is having these signs. Once a diagnosis is made or suspected, a sound treatment plan can be implemented. Good luck with Vanilla. I hope all goes well.
