Dog not eating and throwing up after ear rinse. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Female | unspayed | 6 months and 17 days old | 14 lbs

Yesterday I used a ear rinse on my cockapoo. Today she not eating much and what she did eat she’s throwing up. She doesn’t want treats but she will play.

Poor Rylee. I'm concerned she has a stomach illness causing her to vomit and not eat. I can give you a home remedy for her to see if that helps. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away. If Daisy has been scratching at her ear excessively causing bleeding, this is a sign of an ear infection. Ear infections in dogs can be caused by ear mites, yeast, or bacteria, so you will need to make an appointment with her vet to get the cause diagnosed in order for her to receive the correct treatment. Give your vet a call today to make an appointment for her.

As for the vomiting, it could be she has an upset stomach from a dietary change or eating something rotten, or a mild GI illness. I can give you a home remedy for that to see if it helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.
