Dog not eating, foul gas for 2 days. When should I see a vet?

If your dog has not eaten or drank anything in a few days, she needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately. Dogs can go a few days without food but they have to have water or risk severe dehydration. The gas could be caused by whatever has caused her to lose her appetite. She could have eaten something bad for her, swallowed part of a toy or other foreign object and have a blockage, or have an infection or a growth that is interfering with her digestion. She needs an exam, blood work and possibly x-rays to determine the cause of her illness. She may also need to be hospitalized to receive IV fluids and more intensive treatment.

An upset stomach is a common problem with puppies and is usually self-limiting (will go away on its own). It may not be serious right now, but it's always possible that it could be the start of something serious. If Jack has any of the following, then he should see a vet: 1) Blood in diarrhea 2) Very watery diarrhea 3) Starts acting very depressed 4) Stops eating or drinking for longer than 24 hours. 5) Diarrhea lasts longer than three days. You can try feeding bland food (boneless chicken and rice is good). Feed small portions (1/4 cup or less) three times a day. Ensure fresh, clean water is always available. It doesn't sound like Jake has gas and human medications are not always safe and effective for dogs. I recommend taking him to the vet for an exam and blood work to looks for causes of the vomiting. If he hasn't been eating in two days it is highly abnormal, i would not recommend waiting, he needs to see a vet as soon as possible, it may be an infection or some other condition that requires to be treated with medications.

You need to take Hank into a vet right away. It's quite serious he hasn't eating for three days and is vomiting. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, or could have a foreign body. He needs veterinary care immediately to diagnose what is causing these symptoms so he can be treated. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. It sounds as Buzz is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti nausea injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Yes, I would recommend to take Duke to see the veterinarian first thing in the morning. Not eating for two days means he is not feeling good most likely. The doctor will preform a physical exam and will likely recommend diagnostics like blood work and possibly radiographs.
