My dog's nose keeps peeling. Could it be cancer or another issue?

That could be many things including ringworm (which humans can get), autoimmune condition or even cancer. I recommend to have Blaze examined by the veterinarian. Just like humans, non-healing lesions are worrisome. Better to play it safe. I hope this helps.

The change in her nose could be: viral, fungal, immune, mites, bacterial infection or cancerous. Your Vet will do an exam and consider a skin scrape, cytology and ring worm culture. Ultimately they may need to do a biopsy to get a diagnosis if she doesn't respond to treatment. I wish Amber the best!

These are odd lesions and one concern I would have is an immune-mediated skin disease. It is possible it is something else but problems affecting mucocutaneous junctions are oftentimes immune-mediated in nature. Other possibilities include bacterial infection, nutritional problem, etc. Your veterinarian is likely to advise some tests if this condition persists. A skin biopsy might be necessary to diagnose this. Once a diagnosis is made a sound treatment plan can be implemented. Good luck with Sasha.

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. I recommend you have Ace evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!

I am sorry that she is having this problem and I am sure you are worried. Nasal discharge with blood can be a sign of infection, cancer, or possibly a bleeding disorder. If the antibiotics do no resolve the problem then your vet will need to do some diagnostic tests to help determine the cause. Your vet can run blood-work, take nasal x-rays, and/or rhinoscopy to see if a diagnosis can be found. I wish I could tell you the cause but am not able to without more information from tests. The bump on the roof of her mouth may not be related but you should monitor it and have your vet take a look at it. Try not to worry as it could definitely just be an infection.

From the photos it appears that the lesion is affecting both the mucosa of his nose and also his skin. This could be some sort of deep bacterial infection or perhaps something like ringworm (which humans can get). It is also very concerning however for an autoimmune condition. I recommend to have a Bosco visit his veterinarian with in the next day for an exam. The doctor may try treatment or testing for an infection. The doctor may also recommend a biopsy. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Summer. I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. She may have a common condition known as hyperkeratosis of the nasal planum. If this is not the case, a more serious condition such as an autoimmune disease should be considered. Discoid lupus usually appears as a cracked, bleeding and ulcerated nose. This is diagnosed by a skin biopsy. I hope this information helps!
