What causes non-healing lip sores and lethargy in my old dog?

Non healing fissure like sores on lips, dark scabs. Dog not eating, lethargic. Labwork good. History of extramdullary plasmacytoma tumor excised on gum. 15 year old coonhound on Dermaxx & tramadol for hip arthritis

This could suggest a recurrence if the cancer or of a different kind of cancer. This would not necessarily be seen on bloodwork. I would suggest you have your vet perform imaging or possibly a CT scan to rule out any cancerous masses. In the meanwhile antibiotic therapy may be warranted to prevent infection of the wounds.
